The Toyota MR2 GT-S (W20) was released in 1998 and is part of the 2nd Generation of the MR2 which was released in 1990. The car is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged Inline-4 3S-GTE engine.

Editions

Yellow

The "Yellow" edition was released on January 13th, 2012, and is the SpeedBoost variant of the MR2. The car comes pre-equipped with Amerikon Speedsystems street-tuned Performance Parts. 

Gymkhana

The "Gymkhana" edition was released on March 7th, 2012, and is a custom variant of the MR2. It comes pre-equipped with Gromlen race-tuned performance parts, 2-star Skill Mods and aftermarket parts.

B-Spec

The "B-Spec" edition was released on July 13th, 2013, and is a custom variant of the MR2. It comes pre-equipped with mixed performance parts that has been tuned for making the car reach an overall of 599. The car also features 3-star Skill Mods, aftermarket parts and an unique livery. The car is part of the Best In Class-series.  

Red

The "Red" edition was released on June 30th, 2015 as part of the End of the World event. It is the in-game cash variant of the car, and does not come with any pre-equipped performance parts, aftermarket parts or Skill Mods.

Achievable Classes

The Toyota MR2 has a stock top speed of 218 km/h (135 mph), which is average for Class D cars. Its acceleration is very powerful and features very strong lower gears. Its handling is very responsive and sharp, but because of its loose suspension, it can cause the MR2 to sway, although it has just a small amount of understeer that pushes the car through corners with minimal loss of speed. During times the MR2 can also feel stiff. The MR2 also features a very strong nitrous output.

The MR2 can also be a good choice for Pursuit Outruns and Team Escape, as it can dodge charging Rhino SUVs and squeeze through roadblocks without any major difficulties. But because of its light weight, it can not take collisions with rhinos very well. However, due to its very quick acceleration, the MR2 can quickly regain its speed.
