The 3rd generation of the Volkswagen Scirocco was set into production in 2008 and is being built at the AutoEuropa assembly plant in Palmela, Portugal. The Scirocco version that is featured in World is powered by a 2.0L TSI Inline-4 engine which produces 197 bhp @ 5,100 RPM.
Editions[]
Blue[]
The "Blue" edition was released on July 27th, 2010, and is the SpeedBoost version of the Scirocco. The car comes pre-equipped with 
Amerikon Speedsystems street-tuned Performance Parts.
Thumper[]
The "Thumper" edition was released on July 27th, 2010, and is a rental variant of the Scirocoo. It comes pre-equipped with a mixed set-up of street-tuned performance parts and aftermarket parts. Players can rent the car for 24 hours.
White[]
The "White" edition was released on July 27th, 2010, and is the Cash variant of the Scirocco. The car comes completely stock and features no performance parts.
Exclusive[]
The "Exclusive" edition was made available on July 27th, 2010, for those who purchased a Starter Pack at GameStop or Gamesload in Germany. The car comes pre-equipped with aftermarket parts, but no performance parts or Skill Mods.
Zack[]
The "Zack" edition was released on May 25th, 2011, first made available for SpeedBoost. The car then also became available as a Cash purchase on July 26th, 2011, during Need for Speed: World's first anniversary week.
The car itself features pre-equipped 
Gromlen race-tuned performance parts, 2-star Skill Mods and aftermarket parts. The car is also part of the NFS Classic-series and its livery is heavily based on Zack Maio's car from Need for Speed: Undercover. Although, the wheels and spoiler are different compared to the original boss car from Need for Speed: Undercover.
Boy Racer[]
The "Boy Racer" was relased on April 10th, 2012, and is another custom variant of the Scirocco. The car features Gromlen race-tuned performance parts, 2-star Skill Mods and aftermarket parts. The car is also featured with an unique livery.

The Volkswagen Scirocco has a stock top speed of 211 km/h (131 mph) which is very high for Class E. The acceleration is good but features a weak nitrous output. The handling of the Scirocco is good and responsive, however, like many other FWD cars, this car suffers from understeer.
Although this car is quite heavy, it's not as heavy as other starter cars like the Dodge Challenger R/T or the Pontiac GTO '65. It has a very narrow body, so it can go through small gaps in road blocks with ease. However, as it tends to understeer, dodging Rhinos might be hard.
