In Free Roam, there are a mixture of roads from Palmont City and Rockport City from Need For Speed: Carbon and Need For Speed: Most Wanted that are fully explorable by players. The cities are connected via tunnels in Silverton, Downtown Palmont and Rosewood. On launch, it was constantly daytime but on December 9th 2010, the day/night cycle got introduced. [1]
On 28th June 2011, Free Roam got a new game mode called Treasure Hunt where players would have to find and collect 15 missing gems around a district to get a chance to win performance parts, reputation, powerups, Skill Mods and Cash[2]. This gamemode can only be played once daily.
Free Roam have maximum limit of 25-30 visible players. If the number of players exceeds, certain players may not see each other.
