The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX was unveiled in 2005 and is the successor of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII.

The MR Edition is a high-performance variant of the IX and comes with BBS forged wheels, HID Xenon headlights, gauge lights and an aluminum roof. The IX-MR Edition is powered by a 2.0L Turbocharged Inline-4 engine.

Editions

White

The "White" edition was released on July 27th, 2010, and is one of several cars which has been available since the game launch of Need for Speed: World. The car comes pre-equipped with race-tuned Gromlen Performance Parts.

Glide

The "Glide" edition was released on July 27th, 2010, and was the rental version of the Lancer Evolution IX. The car comes pre-equipped with mixed street-tuned and aftermarket parts.

Yellow

The "Yellow" edition was released on July 27th, 2010, and was the Cash version of the Lancer Evolution. The car is completely stock and features no performance parts.

Achievable Classes

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR-Edition has a stock top speed of 234 km/h (145 mph) which is high for a Class D car. The acceleration is decent but its nitrous output is weak. The handling is very poor and suffers from heavy understeer. Its handling is also very stiff which prevents the Evo IX from taking corners properly.

For Pursuit Outrun and Team Escape the Lancer Evo IX may perform very poorly. It can go through roadblocks well and it can also take head on collisions with heavy police vehicles such as rhinos very well. However, because of its very unresponsive handling it cannot dodge rhinos properly.
